Democrats have been behaving badly for years, encouraged and incited by vitriolic rhetoric coming from the top. Hilary Clinton compared Republicans to Nazis and terrorists during her 2016 campaign and Senator Steve Scalise’s (R-La) 2017 shooter spoke of his hate for Trump. Democrats used George Floyd’s death in 2020 to go on a rampage of burning cities, destroying property and looting at will.
President Biden broke the law for four years and ushered in over 15 million illegal immigrants. Democrat Mayors and Governors created Sanctuary cities to welcome these illegals and provide generous benefits. These same elected Democrat officials have encouraged violent protests and rioting against ICE by Antifa and Leftist anarchists and blocked local police from engaging.
Let’s be honest and call this what it is: INSURRECTION – “a violent uprising against an authority or government.” It is way past time for President Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act and empower the National Guard to arrest violent insurrectionists.
The Insurrection Act gives the U.S. president the power to deploy the U.S. military or federalize National Guard troops within the country for domestic law enforcement. The President can invoke the Act in three main situations, one of which is without a state’s consent if federal laws cannot be enforced through normal means due to unlawful obstructions or rebellion. This was the provision used during the Civil Rights Movement to enforce desegregation in the South.
The Left is violently resisting the duly elected government of the United States. Antifa must be stopped. Violence and insurrection must have consequences. Law and order must be restored. NOW.
