Climate Regulations DEAD

On February 12, the Environmental Protection Agency repealed the Obama Administration’s 2009 ‘Endangerment Finding’ which declared greenhouse gas emissions a threat to public health and safety and was used to regulate emissions from cars, factories and power plants for 17 years.

The Trump Administration has been working quietly behind the scenes on this issue since July 2025 when Energy Secretary Chris Wright published a paper by several respected scientists contradicting the “consensus science” of climate change. The science was always suspect.

In Trump’s first term, he withdrew the U.S. from the Paris Climate Agreement, observing — correctly — that it meant huge costs for American companies, and no commitment at all from rapidly-growing nations like China.

The 2009 Endangerment Finding resulted in 17 years of onerous and expensive greenhouse-gas regulations on US manufacturers. Curbing CO2 emissions was also disastrous for American consumers, significantly raising transportation and electricity costs. Finally, it harmed our country by handing economic power to China, which makes 70% of the world’s wind turbines, solar panels and electric vehicles.

The final nail in the coffin: the regulations had ZERO impact on global temperatures due to continued rapidly rising emissions in China, India and developing countries.

The White House called the repeal “the largest deregulatory action in American history,” estimating it would “save the American people $1.3 trillion in crushing regulations.” The EPA projects an average saving of $2,400 per vehicle and further savings on farm machinery, freed from the complex extra circuitry required to restrict emissions.

In an arrow through the Left’s heart, the EPA’s repeal will also end Biden’s enforced transition to electric vehicles by 2030. Progressives can no longer dictate which energy, cars and appliances Americans can use.

Real pollutants like carbon monoxide, lead and sulfur dioxide are still regulated.  President Trump’s regulatory rollback simply aligns environmental policy with the interests of everyday Americans and the strength of the U.S. economy.  MAGA!
