I’m with Trump

President Trump gave a moving tribute to Charlie Kirk at his Memorial.  He talked about Charlie making “the most important decision of his life, to become a Christian and follower of his savior Jesus Christ” in the fifth grade. In high school, he was Quarterback of the football team and Captain of the basketball team. He was also an Eagle Scout and spent lunch hours listening to Rush Limbaugh’s radio show. He started Turning Point USA when he was just 18. Charlie had very firm beliefs early on and never veered from his chosen path.

President Trump gave Charlie credit for uniting MAGA and MAHA, for JD Vance becoming Vice President, and for making the winning difference in the 2024 Presidential Election.

While everyone else who spoke at the Memorial talked about God and their faith, President Trump was refreshingly honest about his own imperfection.  “Charlie did not hate his opponents; he wanted the best for them. That’s where I disagreed with Charlie; I hate my opponent and I DON’T want the best for them. I’m sorry, I am sorry, Erika!… But now Erika can talk to me and … maybe they can convince me that that’s not right!”

As much as I may BELIEVE we should forgive others and “turn the other cheek”, I am in this instance more like PresidentTrump. I do not hate the Left and I don’t wish them ill.  But I cannot think positive things about a group that continually resorts to hateful words and violent actions.

So, once again … I’m with Trump!
