Look like a star! The first sign of a lack of self-esteem is dressing down. Taking the time and effort to groom and dress well has a marked effect on daily moods. Our appearance is one of the few things we can control.
Set rituals: world-class rituals produce world-class performance. ‘Ritual’ means setting a clear time for all routine activities. Plan your week ahead of time, set a schedule and stick to it.
“Prime time:” concentrated stretches of time when you focus on major tasks that make the most difference. It is the time of day when you have maximum creativity and do your best work. Think of each day’s prime time as inviolable: you’ll feel much better when you have a good chunk of highly creative production behind you.
“Off-peak loops” – avoid always doing busy work vs. priority work. At day’s (life’s) end, you will have done a lot, but show few major accomplishments.
Train your emotions. Fake it, act “as if”, and soon you will genuinely feel it.
