I had no preference on who won the Superbowl. But in the aftermath, I’m thrilled it was the Eagles because it has provided a media platform for some impressive guys.
When asked “Does this (Super Bowl win) validate all of the struggles you’ve gone through in your life?”, Eagles QB Jalen Hurts’ response was perfect: “I had a purpose before everybody had an opinion. It’s not about anybody else … My purpose is being what God called me to be.”
Hurts credits his father for his success: “He always encouraged me to work hard, to put the extra work in, put the extra time in … The will to work, the will to win, that’s been constant throughout my journey, something that my parents instilled into me.”
I hope we see a lot more of Jalen Hurts.
